At the World Urban Forum (WUF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in February 2017, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network - Youth Initiative (SDSN Youth) was pleased to host an event to demonstrate how can young urban leaders implement and localize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their cities through the Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF).
The event featured presentations by eight outstanding Local Pathways Fellows from different cities, who discussed their SDG targets and their urban projects to achieve these targets.

The Local Pathways Fellowship, pioneered by SDSN Youth, is a global initiative to nurture young urban leaders to implement the SDGs in their cities through a 12-month training program and peer-to-peer learning.
The Fellowship brings together a network of young thought leaders, urban planners, researchers and innovators from over 50 cities to advance local dialogue, collaboration and problem-solving around the SDGs and to make cities “smart, fair and sustainable”.
Applications for the 2nd cohort of Local Pathways Fellows has opened! The Fellowship will provide young people globally with the tools, resources and a platform to champion local pathways to sustainable development. If you are aged 18 to 30, are passionate about sustainable development and urban solutions, apply to be a Local Pathways Fellow with SDSN Youth.
