Disruption in the electricity access space is inevitable. The future electricity service delivery systems will not be constrained by the debates of early years - centralized or decentralized systems, and coal-based power or renewable energy based generation.
No two SDG advocates in the world will have the same outlook or perspective, yet our differences and unique platforms provide today’s youth an uncommon opportunity to learn from one another, partner with youth in different regions, disciplines, and fields, and energize their peers to create and shape their own cohort of stewards for change and action.
I recall one of the quotes mentioned by, Professor George Kim from Handong Global University (South Korea) being, “Look at the world the way it should be and not the way it is”. He elaborated this point by encouraging the audience to put their ideas into action so as to be able to achieve their dreams of making the world a better place despite the fact that it is challenging. He went further to enlighten the participants with a simple yet intriguing message,“Entrepreneurship is a mindset”
I never had confidence and strength in me, before taking this particular role. The SDSN Youth Initiative gave me the strength and power to see the world and beyond - I never thought I can do what I am doing right now.
