SDSN Youth educates young people about the challenges of sustainable development and creates opportunities for them to use their creativity and knowledge to pioneer innovative solutions for the SDGs. In addition, SDSN Youth creates platforms for young people to connect, collaborate and integrate their ideas and perspectives into national and regional pathways for implementation of the SDGs.
The Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition Foundation (BCFN Foundation) analyzes the relationship between Food, Nutrition and Sustainability with a multidisciplinary approach. Economic, social and environmental factors that have an impact on food are at the core of the activities of the Foundation, to the purpose of bridging science, policy and civil society, enabling people to make informed choices about food and nutrition, health and sustainability in order to achieve the goals set by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. SDSN Med and University of Siena
SDSN Mediterranean is the Regional hub for the Mediterranean region of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), directed by Professor Jeffrey Sachs (Columbia University). Its activities include: (i) cooperation and joint research activities among Mediterranean countries, universities and businesses; (ii) development of practical solutions to sustainability issues relevant to the future of the region; (iii) elaboration of SDG indicators for the Mediterranean area; (iv) promotion of networking activities among research centers, the diffusion of SDG-Academy education tools in theMediterranean, and Euro-Mediterranean joint programming in the context of EU planning activities.
The SDSN Mediterranean is hosted by the University of Siena (Italy), one of the world’s oldest Universities with long-standing research and project activities in sustainable development and a particular focus on the Mediterranean region.
