A PARTNERSHIP WITH BCFN FOUNDATION, SDSN MEDITERRANEAN AND THE UNIVERSITY OF SIENA

The potential of young people worldwide to deliver positive change in the agri-food sector in support of the Sustainable Development Goals can not be underestimated. From rural youth working to turn smallholder farms into dynamic and resource-efficient businesses, to young scientists and engineers seeking to transform agricultural practices, to urban innovators spearheading the movement towards sustainable urban food systems, the achievement of many of the goals and targets contained in the 2030 Agenda depends on the skills of young people and their and innovative approach to problem-solving.

Supporting youth solutions capable of eradicating hunger whilst promoting synergies with the other SDGs already features heavily in many of SDSN Youth’s activities, ranging from the Youth Solutions Report to the Local Pathways Fellowship. Now, we are announcing a new partnership on “Food and Youth” with the BCFN Foundation, SDSN Mediterranean, and the University of Siena, in order to facilitate the active engagement of young people in the transformation of the agri-food sector for sustainable development.

Here you will find all the information to apply to the initiatives of the partnerships, as well as a series of useful tools and materials and a space in which we will showcase success stories of young innovators on food and agriculture. Be part of the movement, visit our application pages and browse our materials and blog!
