SDSN Youth Networks continue to engage and mobilize young leaders and organizations globally to drive progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By leveraging a range of initiatives, these networks cultivate collaboration, enhance youth capacity, and equip young changemakers with the tools to develop impactful solutions to critical global issues, including climate action, social equity, and digital innovation. Below are some key activities they have undertaken:
16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence in Kenya
SDSN Youth Kenya led a month-long campaign combining social media advocacy and community dialogues in Narok County, addressing gender-based violence with 32 participants taking the lead. This activity showcases SDSN Youth Kenya´s commitment to promoting gender equality and raising awareness through youth-led initiatives that empower communities to combat gender-based violence.
National Secondary School Essay Competition in Nigeria
SDSN Youth Nigeria and Sterling Bank inspired innovation and sustainability across 34 schools through an essay competition that fostered critical thinking on climate action and the SDGs.
Undergraduate Workshop in Nigeria
With 2,000 undergrads gathered in Lagos, SDSN Youth Nigeria, LBS Sustainability Centre, and The Lord’s Chosen Ministries hosted interactive workshops on career strategy, leadership, and SDG engagement.
Collaborative Dialogue in Indonesia
In Jakarta, 120+ youth leaders and stakeholders gathered for a UNDP-SDSN Youth Indonesia event to shape strategies for sustainable business practices, linking media, human rights, and economic growth.
Participation in UNAM Services Fair in Mexico
SDSN Youth Mexico joined the fair at UNAM’s bustling “Las Islas” in Mexico City to showcase sustainability programs to new undergraduate students, strengthening awareness of academic and community services and advancing SDG 4 on quality education.
University Summit for Climate Action in Mexico
Over 175 experts, educators, and youth leaders convened in Veracruz to develop strategies integrating climate action across higher education institutions, hosted by Veracruzana University and partners.
National Park Cleanup in Bolivia
In La Paz, 100 volunteers cleared 7 tons of waste from Cotapata National Park’s “La Cumbre” mountain and “Laguna Escondida,” showcasing SDSN Youth Bolivia’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

SDSN Youth Greece and the European Parliament Liaison Office drew 40 participants to Athens to discuss women’s safety and empowerment in the digital age, inspiring gender equality activism.
Pre COP29 Stakeholder Launch in Türkiye
Over 50 leaders, brands, and NGOs gathered in Istanbul to present sustainable solutions for COP29. Organized by For A Sustainable Future Platform, this event set the stage for global climate communication, with Trendyol backing the initiative.
