In June, SDSN Kenya will be hosting its annual SDGs Awareness Forum. SDSN Youth Kenya will host a youth summit on the sidelines of the main forum. The forum will bring together young people for discussions around the 17 SDGs, develop partnerships, network, and raise more awareness about the SDGs.
The network plans to bring together young people from across Kenya to showcase Job creation solutions that will contribute towards the achievement of SDG 8 in Kenya. The plan is to feature 30 game-changing solutions in Kenya resulting in the empower youth to come up with innovative solutions for the SDGs.
In May, the network plans to host a virtual Network event and reception for all SDSN Youth member organizations in Kenya. The event will be an opportunity for these organizations to share stories, challenges and exchange ideas.
SDSN Youth Kenya launched a program that has mentored 30 female youth on developing innovative business ideas.
The Network hosted a series of activities focused on health, wellness, life skills, and job creation. The project focused on SDGs 4, 8, and 9 by promoting responsible food consumption and the creation of decent jobs in Kenya. Through the project so far 45 youth have been trained and engaged through yoga exercises, group discussions, and presentation
